In today’s rapidly evolving corporate landscape, procurement transformation is not just a one-off event, it’s actually a continuous process.
Improve procurement agility, spending visibility and process resilience.
Manage sourcing risks and vulnerabilities to deliver more with less.
Layout a fully-customizable roadmap to transform people process and resources.
Procurement as a value-added partner.
In the pursuit of acquiring low-emission resources, we assist you in developing your sustainable sourcing strategy, enabling you to effectively navigate the challenges associated with the scarcity of green materials.
The future of trade in the MENA region requires the adoption of sustainable sourcing—an approach that prioritizes low-carbon or low-emission methods in the processes of sourcing and procurement.
Time is almost up.
November 17, 2023, is a date etched in our calendars – the initial breach of the 2-degree global warming threshold. The imperative for a net-zero economy is undeniable, with commitments to low-carbon, circular approaches in procurement. Notably, up to 90% of a company’s GHG emissions originate within its supply chains. Decarbonizing procurement operations isn’t a one-off action. It needs to be treated as a continuing approach within a solid strategy.
Optimize, use and reduce of natural resources & materials.
There’s no justification for paying for excess energy, whether it comes from fossil fuels or renewable sources. Similarly, there’s no reason to source primary materials when recycled, recovered, or substitute materials can be procured. The ongoing savings can be used to help fund further decarbonization.
It’s complicated, but achievable.
Supply chains and/or procurement may operate within legal and responsible guidelines but still may not be sustainable. To address sustainability, organizations need transition plans outlining how an organization will decarbonize and address sustainability across ESG by standardizing the transition planning process.
Educate & collaborate.
The reality is that emissions factors do not provide practical and actionable data. Additionally, collecting & collaborating on emissions data from a supply chain differs from gathering data from operations. Whether it’s data from SME-suppliers or company-wide emissions, detailed-activity or product-specific emissions, the key to collecting and initiating decarbonization lies in operationalizing supply chain decarbonization. This means integrating it into your procurement processes.
It can be adopted at any level.
To close the loop, businesses whether micro, SMEs or large-market, family-owned, non-profits or corporations, businesses need to partner with stakeholders throughout the life cycle. There is no point in, for instance, pushing the local or regional recycling industry to get plenty of materials out of products if nobody is procuring these materials in new products. And there is no point in procuring a proper circular design of products if no one is buying them and using them.
